Suspension clunking
I tried putting this in the suspension forum, but figured it might get more exposure over here.
I've searched all over the forum and can't find a definite answer to this and can't find anyone else with a similar problem. So here goes:
I've got a 2003 EX V6 sedan with 151K miles. It has developed a really bad clunking sound. I can feel it worse when I'm going about 15mph down a fairly bumpy street or down my alley. It's a bone jarring rattle that seems to be coming from the front end somewhere. I can also feel it slightly when I turn the engine on or off and when I let off the pedal after accelerating quickly.
I thought at first it might be my struts, but they aren't bouncy and seem fine. When I looked behind the front wheels, there's a bracket with what appears to be a rubber isolator that holds the subframe to the body. That rubber isolator is broken all the way through on both sides. At times when it is parked, there is up to a 1/4" gap between the broken sides of the isolator. I've searched all over for a part number or even a proper name for what this is to no avail. The part drawings I found on Majestic don't really help and as best I could tell they might be #s 1088315 and 1088319, front subframe bracket sets for the left and right.
Question #1: Is this the probable cause of my clunking noise?
Question #2: If so, are these the proper part numbers/names?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here are a couple of pictures I took today while putting on new brake pads/rotors. This is of the front driver's side wheel well.

That broken bushing can definitely be your problem. I looked on a OEM honda parts site and can't find the part name or number.
Hopefully a tech on here can tell you what part that is. A shop manual should have this information as well.
