Suspensions sounds. Yay! -_-
Hello All,
My front left area has been making a noise for quite some time now.
It all started when some kid decided to run a stop sigh and run into me at about 15-20 mph. He got me right in between the gap on the side of the tire and the door. I immediately saw that my axle was spitting grease all over and i recently replaced that.
It makes a loud popping sound when I make a right turn onto my driveway. My drive way has a slope going up. It also makes a "thumping" sound when I slam on the brakes with forward motion.
Would anyone have a clue on what it could be off of the information I provided?

I was just under it a few minutes ago and everything looked fine. The only problem was that the axle wiggles. It isnt stiff, it wiggled where it goes into the extender to reach the transmission. I dont know what the proper name for it is. I am thinking maybe this is what is causing the noise. I want to get a microphone and check it different parts!

I drove an old Nissan for 10 - 15,000 miles like that until I was too embarrassed
by the noise in parking lots - causing stares at my car.
So, think your axle's CV joint is shot from loss of grease. bet if you replaced the axle
on that side (comes with CV joint) it would be good.
probably $225 / side in a shop. might need alignment after.
Or just ask the tire shop to look at it...

While sitting at a stop light the other day, out of boredom, I was moving my steering wheel left and right. This caused the noise to come about. So earlier I had my girlfriend sit in the car and do it while i checked under the car. Turns out, the noise is coming from the upper control arm! A wishbone looking arm. There are 2 and the one on the right is loose. I am guessing from when some kid ran into my car. I am going to tackle it down first thing in the morning. Any tips on replacing the bushing for it?
