Default Sway bar bus

I was under car and found a lose sway bar link. I took it off and smacked loose bar end and was kinda surprised to hear a clunk from bushing. The bushing looks good but is rock hard. So is my noise from the loose bar link and the rock hard bushing? Guess you should change bushings and links at same time?

I just bought the two front link assemblies. (they come as a assembly) I'm going to change them out tomorrow.
I noticed a clunk for the past several weeks and the car steering is not as precise as it should be. So it's definitely the links.
