Hi,

I have a 2003 Accord coupe 4 cylandnone of my temprature control buttons light up when I turn on the lights also the CD player's LCD screen is not illuminated any time. Using a flash light I can see that the screen is working but it is not illuminated so youcannot see the status. I have checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood, also checked the dimmer switch just in case. Everything else on the dash works even the green led lights on the temp controls lightup but the text on the controls does not light up.

I presume there is a common source of light for temp controls and the lcd screen, which is not working but I am not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

there is a 7yr/100,000 mile warranty on the audio/climate control illumination. bring it to any dealer if your car is under 100,000 miles.

 

Thanx a bunch! I have 68K miles so this should be covered. I was really worried because this did not seem like something easy to fix.

it's fairly easy, we tear apart the radio and replace the circuit board inside it. before the warranty came out ppl online tore it apart and found out a resistor goes bad(i think)causing no illumination.
