Default Throttle Position Sensor "Calibrating"?

Hey guys, I have a question having to do with my TPS. I slapped a BLOX TPS onto my '98 accord a couple of months back and lately I have been seeing threads about "calibrating" or some type of process using a volt meter.. All I did when I installed it was slap it on. Is this a crucial step? How would it be done to a '98 Accord LX 4 cyl. ?

Instructions are in the following link:

Specs. and procedures are pretty much the same for your car.
