I recall Aisin being an OEM supplier for Honda, so I'd say go for it.

I was able to find a OEM Timing Belt Made in Japan from an ebay seller. they are hard to find for sure. he seems to have a bunch of them. it was $44.00 not too bad considering the original OEM price on Honda Parts sites is almost $90 but its a discontinued part so Honda does not have any in inventory, so it seems.

picture attached. looks legit. can a timing belt go bad over time in the original packaging or not an issue?

just curious, is it a good idea to change the oil pump gasket while doing a timing belt? or is it ramp up the total labor cost? the gasket for the 2.7 is a figure 8 gasket.

can you please tell me from looking at the diagram, if this is the correct pulley for the timing belt, or is this pulley for the A/C. the Honda parts dept told me it was for the AC.

yep! so I am Unable to locate an actual Timing Belt Pulley replacement part, but everything else is on hand, OEM Timing Belt, Water Pump, Thermostat, Tensioner, Crankshaft Seal, Camshaft Seal, even grabbed a Oil Pump Gasket.'

do you highly recommend replacing the Thermostat with a new OEM Honda Thermostat when doing the water pump, timing belt etc? I have no issues with the cooling system, works perfect.

do you recommend replace of the AC Pulley, Alternator Pulley, or is this just unnecessary as there are no issues, currently have all new belts on everything except for timing belt which was changed last in 2007.

thanks!

I only replace items that are easy to replace when you are in the timing belt area, because you essentially have to repeat the timing belt job to replace. Thermostat and the a/c & alt don't fall into that category. The pulleys don't need replaced unless they are making noise or have obvious damage/wear.

being that I have not changed the Thermostat since 2007 and I live in the heat of Florida is it a good idea still to replace?
