Default Timing belt / spark plug change

Forum

I like this site, never posted. I have a 2010 EX V6 Accord. I've had it since 32,000 miles and now have 90,000. I bought the car preowned certified from the local dealer in 2013. The question I have and I have received multiple different answers at different times, depending on staff turn over about when these items should be replaced. I have heard 90,000 for the timing belt and 120,000 for the plugs. I live in North Florida and often go to Atlanta, they gave similar answers too. I can't really find anything conclusive on the internet or my manual. So when should I replace these items? the majority of answers have been closer to the 120,000 mile mark. I was advised to wait for the maintenance minder too. Will it tell me even though sometimes I change the oil before it tells me to? I know this is several questions on one. I'm getting ready to drive to Texas in 2 weeks and back. Thanks for the input in advance.

The Honda Site has the maintenance schedule for your vehicle. When you get maintenance minder 4, so the dash will say service B then 1,2,3,and/or 4. When the number 4 shows up is when you get the plugs and timing belt changed.

The manual doesn't say when maintenance minder 4 shows up, which is pretty ridiculous.

My TSX uses the same spark plugs as your Accord, and they were due to be changed at 110,000 miles.

Looking at my TSX maintenance schedule vs the maintenance minder "schedule" on your accord, the 110,000 mile service is when you'd get plugs and a timing belt.

We recommend 105k for the t-belt, drive belt water pump and t-belt tensioner. The plugs are due for change when the belt is due for change. Oil changes depend on the quality of oil used and the type of driving that you do on a daily basis. In general we recommend doing the oil change when the oil life has dropped to 40 to 50% remaining.
