Default Timing order plug wires on cap

I just recently tuned up both of my Honda's, my 1999 is a 3.0 V-6 and on the distributor cap it has numbers to show the location of the wire to get the firing order right. My son's 1998 2.3 VTEC the cap has no numbers and I had pulled the cap to take to the auto parts store to ensure I got the right one, well here is my dilema, the hitachi cap has no numbers on it so I do not know how to put the plug wires on correctly? Anybody have any suggestions on how to figure this out???

Is there a mark or something on the new/old one?
