Don't you have to pull the belts back off and re-position the balancer shaft?

Is there a mark on back balancer to line up, or just rotate until it locks in place?

There should be a service port bolt on the back of the block which you remove and can insert a #2 screw driver and rotate the balancer gear box until the screwdriver slides in, then check the balancer shaft mark, and be sure the timing marks are on. Do it while the engine is on TDC for the the number one cylinder. Ensure all bolts tight, remove screwdriver and reinstall service bolt. Service bolt should have a 12mm head, FYI.
