torque converter problem or transmission?
2012 Accord Se 4 cyl
Cruising at 35 to 40 mph then coasting, then easy press on the gas, and car starts making multiple small jerks forward rapidly instead of smooth acceleration. New axles about 2 years ago. Happens several times during any trip of any length. Engine runs smoothly, new brakes all around about 9 months ago. I'm thinking torque converter problem or transmission.
This can happen at any speed including as slow as 10 mph or as fast as 65.
Grateful for any advice.

I'd check for engine/transmission codes. If you don't own a scanner, then stop by a parts store to have them check codes.
Transmissions are tough to diagnose. When did you last change the transmission fluid?

Thanks for the help.
Had the codes checked today at a transmission shop and found nothing. They also were unable to experience the "jumping forward" problem despite numerous attempts, although I experienced them at least 6 times when I left their shop.
I'll ask my favorite mechanic to change the trans fluid and hope for the best.
