Default Trans Control Unit part #

Quick question: When replacing the transmission control unit, I am assuming the part #s have to match exactly, right? I bought one off of ebay, I need 28100-pxo-822, they invoiced me for the same number, but sent 28100-pxo-823. My bet is the 823 won't work, right?

It should work. The 823 is an updated part number.

Just go to a site like hondaparts.com and look up your car. It will show that the 823 is an updated part number.

This morning I called the vendor I bought it from, and they confirmed that the 823 is the updated part number. Brain surgery to follow.
