Hard call

For $50, I might go for it. Heck a metal scrap yard might give you ~$30 for the metal alone?

Glad to know you are not walking to work anymore.

Yea be happy for the good things.....it goes forward.

Years back I drove a corolla wagon 5 speed for about a year with no clutch...yea don't ask, too lazy and poor to pull the trans and inspect it and or the clutch...but I mean NO CLUTCH.

I'd let it warm up, idle down, then just jam it into 1st or R. Got really good at matching RPM's to the next gear change. Until one day I bent/wore the syncro's to the point it was just stuck in 2nd......sold it for scrap. Bought another 3rd gen, 88 LXi auto to go with my then 86 DX 5 speed.

Of course the Chevelle has been in my life since the day I was born.....as a two day old baby my Mon and Dad drove me home from the hospital in it...first car ride . First new car my Dad ever bought, have the paper work from the dealership (invoice, bill of sale, ect) where he bought it. When I moved to NC he "gifted" the car to me...I was about 28~29 then.

Sorry for a post about a whole lot of nothing.
