Daughter has a 2001 ex 4cyl 5spd. She was at a stop and says clutch pedal felt like it shifted sideways and now is stuck in 1st and the shifter just flops around. Haven't found a manual yet but looking for any help on possible causes. Clutch feels ok to me but not well schooled in Honda trans. Thanks for any help!

 

Since the sifter is flopping around, I would check the shifter cables. They run from the shifter to the top of the tranny.

Have someone move the shifter around and see if the cables are moving the shift arm assembly on top of the tranny. The two shifter cables are held on to that assembly by cotter pins.
