Transmission Codes 0700 and 1705
Hi all, new member here. My CEL is on and popping codes 0700 and 1705. The transmission was replaced at 90,000 miles. Is this a sensor issue or is it a mechanical issue?
Transmission seems to be fine, no burnt fluid or leaks...just these codes which appeared after my main relay went bad. I replaced the main relay and reset the codes, but they did come back.
Any help would be appreciated.

P0700 is general transmission fault and occurs whenever any trans code is set. P1705 is Transmission Range Switch short. A short in the automatic gear selections switch or wiring. You may not see the auto trans gear selection in the instrument panel. It could be a wiring fault, but switch fault is more likely.
