The speed was his estimate from where the tach was. Too fast to actually look at the speedo. I'll post the story in a bit.

i dont see where im supposed to jump two wires.

 

There should be the two wires (white/yellow and white/black) going to two of those metal connectors if you have the right plug (it looks like you do) just insert one side of the paper clip into each side of that connector so the two wires are "jumpered" or connected essentially. Bend the paper clip into a U shape and stick one prong from each side into the slot for the correct wire

 

OK, that was my confusion. I'll do that after class. Does 40 bucks for the OEM part sound right to ya'll?

done and done as of yesterday. PITA due to scheduling/classes/other **** that wouldn't let me get it done sooner, but overall could have been worse.
