Default transmission shifts

Just wondering if there is a way to adjust the way that the transmission shifts. Mine seems to shift from 1st to 2nd at about 2500rpm with regular drivingand it seems like it is shifting too soon. But if I give it a little it will shift at around 3000rpm and it is a lot smoother of a shift. I have a 1991 Accord LX. I'm not sure if I should be worried about it or not. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a cable between throttle body linkage and transmission that modulates shift quality. Suggest downloading the 91 Accord manual from Online Manuals post in DIY forum. Procedure for trans-throttle cable adjustment is in transmission section.

good luck
