Default Transmission Whine

Just bought a used 2003 Accord Ex-V6 and have noticed that the transmission makes a high pitch whine noise that is heard in the interior around the gear shift ****. Anyone else had that problem? Any solutions?

When does it happen? How can you get it to stop? Does it change pitch or sound at different times? How's the tranny fluid level/color?

Noise is most noticable under acceleration. Heavy acceleration seems to make it louder. Have not yet checked trans fluid level or color, but will do so and post results.

Checked fluid level and it is fine. Trans fluid color is a deep red. Appears fine to me.

Deep Red? Is it more like a brick or burnt red or a Bright red? It should be bright red. But the color of the fluid will not have anything to do with the noise as long as the level is correct. Are you sure you are hearing transmission noise and not a different noise?
