Default Trunk/Cabin Latch Removal

Is there a way to remove the plastic latch which separates the cabin of the car with the trunk?

My reason is because I like to keep that area open because it helps with subwoofer output, but the black divider is quite uncomfortable for rear seat passengers.

So is there an "easy" way? By the way, it is a 2000 Accord LX. Thanks to all and here are a few pics.

Welcome!
You might be able to remove the panel from the trunk-side of the rear seat-back. Not just the hinged part that opens. Never tried it & I don't own that car any more so I can't check.

I'll try to remember to check mine tonight to see if I can figure it out...

Thank you for the help, but I figured it out.

It had some screws near the bottom of the back which i removed and then was able to pull out the metal rod holding the two things together.

I checked from the front but due to a recent back injury I wasnt in the mood to open up the seat. But I decided to just do it and it ended up being a 2 minute job

Thanks again
