I traded for a 15 Accord EXL today. I only got one key fob, and Im having trouble getting the trunk to open. The lock, unlock, and alarm functions of the remote do as they should, but no matter what the remote will not open the trunk, but the lever in drivers floorboard opens it just fine. I took a tiny screwdriver and checked the anti-lockout function by putting the keys in the trunk and “closing” the trunk mechanism and it beeped and unlocked like it should.

back to the fob... when I push buttons on it a red light blinks. It does this with all 4 buttons. I feel like this is a really simple issue, but I’m concerned that it might be a remote issue. I’m going to be buying another remote for the wife to have, and I will have to figure out how to program it too. Seems more complicated due to push button ignition.

the button on the trunk also does not open the trunk. Perhaps a solenoid if some sort is messed up or came unplugged?

Got it. There is a valet switch in the glove box which turns off the trunk functionality. Simple flip of the switch fixed it.
