Default Trunk Weather Stripping Replacement

Hey fellas! Just looking for some advice on the adheasive to use for replacing weather stripping for the trunk? This is actually for my wife's civic, not my accord. I have the stripping itself and the dealer said to use a "Gorrial type" adheasive. I assume he meant Gorilla glue type but wanted to make sure that's what he did mean. So any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Gorilla glue expands to many times its size and will make a real mess. 3M (and others) make a specific adhesive for this. Body shops in your area could give you a heads up on what they use.

Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't you just as easily use 3M foam style double sided sticky tape... That's probably what I would use...

Sorry, but the foam in the double sided tapesoaks up water and eventually rots away.
Mr Nasty would have water in his trunk. LOL
My vote is for using 3M trim adhesive, it will last as long as the car.

Then Mr Nasty would have a nasty, watery trunk. Ewww.

I need to replace the weatherstripping in my front door jambs, how difficult a task would this be?

Any auto parts store should have it in stock.

The weather strips around the door tuck into little channels/grooves around the top and sides and have plastic 'push pins' across the bottom.[also a little clip at the top rear]Little dinky screw driver and silicone spray for tucking in the groove part, and needle nose pliers for getting the old push pins out.
around $45 for the new seals, I'm not sure if they come with the pins/clips
