Default Turn signal/Hazzard lights 1992 Accord LX

*accidentally posted in wrong forum so reposting here..appologies*

Hello..new to this forum.Just bought a 1992 Accord that needs some work but I got a good deal on.The car runs well but neither the turn signals or hazards work.

I checked the bulbs and changed all of the fuzes pertaining to the lights.I also changed the relay.Im certainly no mechanic but just tried to changed everything cheapest to most expensive.Im at a loss now and have searched the forums but cant figure out what to do next.

The relay is making a clicking sound that sounds that sounds similar to what the turnsignal would sound like if it were working.

The turn indicators on the dash do not turn on.

I do think it is strange that the relay that both Advanced Auto and Oreiley have given me is 3 prong but the part that you plug into has 4 prong but both places say that it is the right part.

Any help here would be appreciated.Im just at a loss as to where to look next.

The 3 prong Relay belongs in the empty spot leaving an open connection fpr some reason.

Update.Today all of the suddentje hazzard lights work(relay does not make any noise withhazzards engaged).

Also left turnsignal works(relay also stops clicking with left signal on.

Right signal does not work and relay continuesclicking sound with right signal engaged)

Any idea what this could be?

Just so I'm clear. With the hazard lights on, everything works fine. However now only the right side is not working - do they come on and not flash or nothing happens.

Thank you for the reply.

Everything works fine with the hazards on.Everything worksfine with the left blinker on.

When I try to turn the blinker to go right, the blinker doesnot come on.

The relay makes a clicking sound when at all times unless the left signal or hazzard are engaged. With the signal engaged the relay doesnt make any noise.

I'd test the turn signal "lever/switch" to be sure it is working/giving good contact.

Thanks again for the reply.

Through process of elimination I tried this exact thing. The part arrived yesterday and it was a 10 min fix(6 screws total) and now everything works perfectly!

$40 and about 10 min total to fix.Worst part was waiting the 2 days for shipping.

Thank you again for your help sir.

So it was the switch?

Either way I'm glad you are back to "happy driving"
