Refer to the other guy's problem in the thread I linked in post #7 above, to read how it can have different effects on the left vs. right side.

Yes I see where the diagram is pointing to. I think I found it in my car but it is a black box that looks identical but has ABS written on it. How can I take it out?

Here's a thread showing how this guy did it.

Check the ground wires at location G701 (located behind the left side of the trunk). Although both the high mount/spoiler brake light and the left brake light share the same ground at location G701, there are two terminal ground wires that attach to that location.

If the ground wires are good at ground G701 and you’re not getting power at the Wht/Blk wire terminal at the 2-pin high-mount connector when you press the brake pedal, then it may be a problem with the wiring that goes from a rear junction block (located behind the left C-pillar) that feeds to another connector ((C701) an 8-pin grey connector) going to the high mount/spoiler brake light. You would check for power at the Wht/Blk wire at the the connectors behind the left C-pillar.

There are wires running from the dash area that feed into the rear junction and then out to the separate brake lights (left, right, and high-mount/spoiler). The junction block is white and has several white connectors attached to it. The 14-pin white connector (C702) from the junction block feeds into the 8-pin grey connector (C701), which then runs to that high-mount 2-pin connector.

It probably is not a problem with the brake light switch (aka brake pedal position switch), as your left and right brake lights work.

I realized today that both turn signals work when the headlights are not on. When they are on, only the right one works but is dim. I realized that there is some kind of aftermarket alarm or some kind of box that is under the dash? The largest connector is unplugged but when I plug it in the hazard lights go off?
