UK Accord 2005 Tourer - Intermittant Heater
H
I have a 2005 Accord 2.2d and have recently noticed that the heater sometimes blows out cold air. The car has climate control. When the car is idle, its generally ok, but then when you start to drive the heat goes, but it does come back when driving too.....
Has anyone else experieced this? It is only an intermittant problem, but need to get it resolved to avoid freezing this winter! lol I had the A/C gases recharged four or so months ago, but dont think this is linked. There are no problems showing up on the computer and there coolant seems ok.....
This is actually the first thing ever to play up on this excellent car.....
Many thanks in anticipation.

Could be a sticking-open thermostat.
You might also check for air in the cooling system. Hondas don't like to have any air-pockets at all. We don't get the diesel here in USA, so I'm not sure if there's a bleed valve where you can release air. Otherwise keep checking & re-filling at the radiator cap.
