So I was trying to fix my TDC position by changing my Distributor cap and the rotor ignition but when i got to the rotor ignition i didnt know how to take it off. I tried to pull it as hard as I could, and so i tried to unscrew it but it was so dang hard to turn. Am i supposed to unscrew the inside screws of the distributor to get the rotor ignition, or is there some other trick to this, also if I should unscrew the inside screws whats a better tool to use then a regular phillip screw?

 

If you have a code for TDC sensor, changing the rotor will not help the problem.

Some years of Honda have a phillips screw that goes in the side of the rotor and holds it to the shaft; try rotating the engine by hand and watch the shaft of the rotor.

 

Back in your other thread about the TDC sensor, I suggested that you check for loose/dirty/corroded wiring at the distributor. What I meant by that is the wiring harness connector at the distributor. The wires carrying the signal from the TDC sensor go thru that connector.

It's good for your cap & rotor to be in good condition, but I don't think those would cause a TDC code.
