Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what this tube next to the AT dipstick is for on my 2008 Accord EX 4 Cylinder's automatic transmission? There used to be a black rubber cap on it but it got knocked off and I'm trying to find out what the part is called so I can get a replacement. Also, anyone know what that metal tube is for?

 

It's a vent tube, most Honda auto transmission have them. You're missing the breather cap, Honda part number 21396-PX5-000.

 

Thank you! Exactly what I needed. You are more knowledgeable then the parts department at the honda dealer(they did not believe me that there was a metal tube coming out of my transmission)!
