Default Use PS pulley or camshaft nut to rotate engine during valve adjustment? 2004 k24

I plan to remove the spark plugs in order to make the engine easier to revolve.

I've read contradictory statements on the net. Many say the engine can be rotated using the PS pulley or camshaft nut. on the other hand I've read this:

"DO NOT USE THE POWER STEERING PULLEY. You can snap that shaft. You can use the camshaft as long as you turn the correct direction and dont have the spark plugs in."

other option is to jack up the car, put on jackstands, remove the wheel, and turn from the crankshaft. More work

Vehicle bought recently has 246k miles. Have extensive records but may never have valves checked or adjusted. Figure its due for a valve adjustment, but some say not needed except when engine is noisy. I'd always understood that tight valves are not noisy.

What say ye experts?

Definitely pull the spark plugs to make your life easier. Safest way to turn the engine is on the crank pulley bolt with a 19mm socket, but I think you'll be ok on the PS pump. I wouldn't use the PS pump pulley if the spark plugs are installed.

thanks for your help, I appreciate it. I should have written the nut on the PS pump pulley that's actually what I meant. I'll probably do it by the book as you suggest, as you say it is safest
