Vehicle Speed Sensor not working
Hello, I have a Haynes Repair manual and was able check the OBD and got a '17' for 'VSS malfunction'.
Doing what the repair manual told me I disconnected the harness and with my ohmmeter checked ground continuity and it checked out. I did not get battery voltage on the BLK/YLW pin like the book told me I should have, instead I got 0V. I come to find that there is continuity between that pin and ground. Should this be normal or am I right to assume there is a short in the harness somewhere??
Also I checked all my fuses even though I did not find one that was labeled for such.
Any suggestions? How could I find a short if that is indeed the case?

Did you do the test with the key turned to the II (normal running) position? The engine doesn't have to be running.
There are 3 wires that go to the VSS. One should have continuity to ground, 12V and ~5V.
