VSS is located below and behind the distributor, just inside the thermostat housing. It is a bit difficult to remove due to near engine bolt (of 2) access. Do you have an ECU code 17 and/or TCU code 4?

Best way to diagnose AC system is to measure system pressures (high and low side) w/ an ac manifold gauge set. You can buy an inexpensive set for less than you'll pay someone to perform a pressure check. If you're reasonably handy, you can take pressures yourself. If you diy, this is a good place to start your AC eduction. Take pressures w/ engine speed at 1500-2000 rpm, AC on, Max Fans, Recirculate, and car parked in shade.

Check autoacforum.com for help on auto AC. This site solved lots of my AC problems. I haven't had any ac problems for several years due to good repair practice.

good luck

Also you can go to an AutoZone and rent that gage kit to use and when your done with it you even get your money back.. Way to save money.

How do you get the code from the ECU and TCU?

Go to DIY forum and look up procedure to extract codes. Post codes for guidance.
