vtec light

Default vtec light

i was thinkin' about adding a light (or something) to my dash so I would know when the vtec engaged ... is there an easy way to do this? The only way I have seen is with a whole V-AFC unit .. thanks for the help

The VTEC solenoid valve only has one wire. Tap that wire & use a small lamp or LED. Be careful to use a low wattage lamp. You don't want to draw too much current from that circuit thru the ECU.

Thing is, almost everything else has constant power & the ECU switches the ground side of the circuit. But the VTEC solenoid is powered by the ECU. Anyone know whether that's 12v or 5v or what??
