water dripping on interior of car
Hi i have a 94 accord coupe. For the last couple of months cold water has been dripping on my feet/ floorboard. If i turn right it runs to the passenger side and vice versa. No condensation ever drips to the ground at a stop or parked after driving which leads me to believe it must have a condensation line? Am i correct or could this be the heater core? Starting to run warm to. any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
If you are using AC, the condensate drain line is blocked. Drain line goes through firewall from back side of evaporator box under the dash. It can barely be seen at base of box if you look closely. Check the tube on the engine side of firewall. I've heard of insects blocking a draintube and this might be cleared w/ a wire. More likely, debris and dirt inside the evaporator box is blocking the drain path and causing water level to rise until is spills when you make a turn. It can be fixed but requires removal of evaporator box, opening the box, and cleaning inside of debris, and clearing any blockage. This requires recovery of refrigerant to allow evaporator to be released on engine side of firewall.
good luck
good luck
used a zip tie and stuck it up there, gush of water came a flowing. Got lucky on that one. Just so you know don't ram anything up there that is stiff, coat hanger as it can poke a hole in the evaporator, then you got problems. Thank you for your response
