Default water leaking into engine bay

it rained earlier today and stopped me from further checking into my starting problem. i closed everything up and went inside for about 2 hours. after lunch, i popped the hood and was surprised to see quite a bit of rain water in the engine bay:confus ed:

she has no body damage aside from some small ball dents, body panels are all solid and lined up. the weather seals on the bottom of the windshield are like new.

i dried everything up after the rain stopped, the figured i'd recreate the rain and gave her a good hose down

same thing, i clean my car alot, ima clean freak if you will lol. this has never happened and i just cleaned the car a few days ago and this never happened.......

i live in Miami and the rain has ben relentless these past few days but it rains alot out here so this is a big issue and could possibly destroy something under the hood, even my intake filter was soaked.....so many problems.....

Did you actually drive it in the rain? On some cars when it rains and you drive through it the rain will go between the hood and the headlight or where it meets the rest of the car especially if there's no weatherstripping at that tip.

Nope, I haven't Ben able to keep the car on after crank for almost 3 days now, she sat for Tue 3 days in the same spot, rained the first 2 days, dryer than a nuns vagina, rained today, wetter then a pulled out strippers vagina. Lol even when I was driving in the rain, this never happened

I'm not sure why this is an issue, engine compartments are designed under the expectation that they will get wet, often very-very wet. No big deal.

When you drive in the rain it gets pretty wet from splashing upwards from the road. But at the same time the components are hot so it evaporates more quickly.

A hard rain will get between the hood & fenders. Notice there's no weatherstripping like you'd find in the trunk.
