Default Weird Noise

Hello Community..

Recently my accord 3.0 V6 1998 started making a strange noise .. this noise stops when AC is turned on .. what could it be?

Doesn´t matter if the car is warm or cold, but the noise persists ..

Noises are fun over the internet...
Rattling?
Grinding?
Humming?
Growling?

Turn on the AC & let it run. Does the noise come & go as the AC clutch engages & disengages?

The radiator fans run when the AC clutch is engaged. Is a radiator fan motor going bad? Plastic blades or frame warped and something rubbing?

I remember at least one person saying a radiator-fan motor going bad allowed the fan to move back & forth, and the fan blades touched the surrounding shroud.

After all it is the air conditioning compressor .. any suggestions to fix it or where can I do?

A mechanic near me asked me $ 500 for the arrangement.. Is that a fair price?
