I am new here so this may not be the correct area for this post. I am looking to buy a winter beater I came across a 1991 EX with high miles. I look at it today the car actually runs pretty decent it has 268k cold A/C it need a clutch and it could use shocks and struts the owner says that the trunk takes some water when it rains heavy, I figured it could be trunk gaskets all windows work sunroof works body has typical rust around rear wheels underbody is good and solid. The shifter is real sloppy I figure the shift linkage might need to be replaced. The owner is asking $1100. OBO I personal dont think the car is worth more than $400-$500 considering what it need. My question is am I waaaay off base here. The owner was really shocked when I told her that $1100.00 was absurd. She feel that Kelly blue book says that the car is worth like $1500.00. Most of the work the car need Myself and my friends can do but she doesnt need to know that.
