Default what computer do I replace?

So i was able to get my car smogged. The big problem I have with my car is that when I turn the car off and then back on, all the sensors get wiped clean. Then I have to drive it for about 50 miles before things start registering again. I was told by the smog tech that it might be my computer that is malfunctioning. So my question is what computer controls the emissions? Where can u find it and does anybody have a tutorial on replacing it?

Sounds like you are losing your KAM (keep alive memory), you may want to have some diagnosis done before you through a PCM at the car. Do any other systems reset like the radio for instance?

I'd make sure I had good power and grounds at the PCM.

I don't see anything in the diagrams for a specific fuse for PCM memory.

Under-hood fuse no. 39 (7.5A) is the battery back-up memory fuse.
