What is a good brand to buy Is tec the honda oem? There is also a brand called original engine managment is it good? Is that what honda uses?

 

on 5th gens ive seen the oem dist be either a tec or a hitachi.

What year model, trim, etc do you have?

 

I am looking for after market distributor cap and rotor on ebay and was wondering what brands are good? I saw a brand called original engine managment and was wondering if thats what honda uses if not is it any good has anyone used this brand. I believe tec is the oem for honda but cant find it on ebay. And to answer your question I believe my distributor is tec since it has the outer ignition coil.

 

that is correct, but Honda also used Hitachi with an interior coil also, Hitachi is what came on my 96 ex.

As far as the brand you inquired about, i am not sure about the quality of that brand as i am still rocking the original equipment on mine.
