Okay guys, I'm doing some research and Ive been reading online about an EXEDY OEM replacement clutch kit. This one is about 120, ( only $20 more than Duralast kit from Autozone)

Does anyone have any experience with Exedy OEM replacement clutches?

This is a link to it. http://www.exedyusa.com/store/produc...hp?src=HCK1000

This is what I currently have in my car,

Personally, I don't have anything to add.

From what I have read, they seem to be a good choice. Again with a new flywheel or have yours checked to see if it can be turned.....just like a brake rotor when they get too thin they have to be replaced....you should be fine.

The rear main seal, pretty simple once everything is out of the way - trans, clutch, flywheel. Pretty much like any seal replacement......the hardest part is getting to it

When I was searching the web to find the OEM supplier for the clutch, I think that I found Exedy to be a possible supplier. It wasn't really clear from what I remember.

Would I have to remove the oil pan to replace the seal. I saw a video and it sort of looks like you have to remove the oil pan resting place to get to the seal.

It was hell putting in my oil pan since I would not like the idea of having to take the oil pan off

From what I see, the oil pan does not have to come off.

I decided to take out my Haynes Manual and it clearly states " The seal can be replaced without removing the oil pan or seal retainer."

So I am definitely excited to get this job done. My clutch kit comes in tomorrow !

My two cents, automanualsource dot com has a good deal on the manual for your car....like $22 for a download (hope you have a real good internet~145MB download) or $27 for a CD shipped......lots of good info in there. Heck I bought the CD just so I could help others, yes I need a life.

Good luck with the work and let us know how it goes
