Where is Shift Solenoid A? (99 Accord LX)
Hi all,
I have an interesting problem, and I'm hoping that someone can help me figure this out.
I have a 99 Accord LX that was given to me by a friend. It was parked over the summer and mice chewed up a bunch of wires under the hood. There are two main problems.
First, I'm getting a blinking D4 light, and it has thrown the code "P0753 -- Shift Solenoid A -- Electrical." Gears 1 and 2 work great, but if I try to start in D3 or D4, it's sluggish and tough to drive.
Since this Accord ran great BEFORE the mice chewed it to bits, I am sure that this is one of the many wires that has been chewed.
Can someone tell me where shift solenoid A is?
Problem #2 -- The car won't come out of park unless I push in the manual shift-release with a key or something. I can't hear any click when I press the break pedal, and I'm sure that this is another wiring issue. Where is this switch located? I'm trying to figure out where these things are so that I can get the wiring fixed back up!
Any help would be so greatly appreciated! Many thanks!

Thank you! That is awesome!
I'm going to check that shift solenoid right away tomorrow and report back!
Where are you getting these diagrams from? I'd like to figure out how to test the shift control solenoid and figure out where the wires go . . .
Many thanks!

I bought a manual for this generation Accord.....and I don't even own one, that is the sad thing.
For $22, you can download, for $27 you can have a cd shipped to you - try: automanualsource dot com
Highly suggest getting a manual from some where. With the mice helping you out, I'm going to guess you are going to be tracing a few wires
