Default Will 94 Accord Ex alternator work on a 95 Civic EX?

My 94 Accord finally is officially ready to be laid to rest(RIP buddy, you were a great soldier and gave me every ounce you had). My sister has a 95 Civic and just discovered she has a bad alternator. Will my alternator fit/work on a her car so I can save her some money?

Generally, the alternator from the 95 Accord will not fit the 95 Civic.

Do you know what is specifically is wrong with her alternator (e.g., rectifier, bearing, etc.)?

Since her 95 Civic EX is probably a Denso alternator and they are pretty reliable, changing the brush holder assembly may take care of the alternator problem as long as it is not a problem with the rectifier, bearings, etc. Most of the time on the Denso alternators, new brushes will have it running well again.

I don't know what the cause is but I am getting here to check label on alt to see if it's a Denso. Is there an easy way to tell if it is the bearings(I don't even know what the rectifier is)? Perhaps I could take it off and take it to a shop or Autozone and they could test and tell me if it would be hard for me to diagnose? Figured the alt from mine would not work on hers since it's a less powerful engine/car.

Yes, they may be able to tell what is wrong with it, if they test it.

The brush holder assembly is relatively inexpensive and is relatively easy to replace.

I think the mount holes, pulley, etc. on the alternators are different between the Accord and Civic.
