window regulator
1997 honda accord se driver door need to replace window motor regulator, can not move window so can not access bolts holding window in place. If I cut cables, will that drop window so I can access the two 10mm bolts? If not, how?

If the window is only down a little bit, it may not be a bad regulator. Have you tried applying direct 12 volt power and ground to the regulator motor? Only do so briefly, as to not burn out the motor if it is good.
Usually, the window will be all the way down if the regulator was bad.
If the window is all the way down and the glass mounting bolts did not line up with access holes, you could remove the 4 regulator mounting bolts and then move the entire regulator/glass assembly to access the 2 glass mounting bolts. (Use masking tape to hold the glass up after the bolts are removed.)
Or, alternatively, cut the regulator steel cable and the window will come down. Have someone help hold the glass, as it will no longer be supported. Then remove the two glass mounting bolts from the regulator.
