For the p1467 i bought a used canister and a control purge valve used from the scrap yard for 100$ and changed it now the code is gone for a month, For the windshield washer light, i bought a windshield washer float sensor from the scrap yard for 10$ and that was fixed. for the p420 i changed the front oxygen sensor but the code is still there, i think it has to be my catalytic. I am going to try one of those pieces that you attach to the senor to trick the computer so that i can atleast clear that code for now....

P420 is a CAT code. You can try the defouler trick as you mentioned. Or try to find a replacement cat at a scrap yard (if they will sell it to you)

Glad you got the P1457 fixed. I must have missed your original post when it was new. (I was on vacation that week...)

P0420is based onthe REAR O2 sensor's measurement. That sensor's job is to measure whether the cat is working. The front sensor probably won't do anything to help your P0420.

Maybe it's possiblefor a bad rear O2 sensor to do this, but I've been told that by 1998 the ECU is quitegoodat telling the difference between a bad cat vs. a bad sensor.

Oh yeah...forgot to mention...do the defouler trick on the rear o2 sensor, not the sensor before the cat.

Just changed the Rear Oxygen Sensor that's connected to the Cat for the P0420 Code. It worked for me.!
