Default Wiper Stalk Interchangeable ?

Hi everyone. I see on 1996 models the wiper stalk had adjustable intermittent. My 1994 Accord EX only has 1 mode for the intermittent. Is it possible to install the adjustable intermittent stalk from a 1996 Accord? If so I'm all about it!!

In addition to the different combination wiper switch for the 96 Accord which added the variable intermittent wipers, there is an additional wire harness and connectors that go from the combination wiper switch to the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) located in the under-dash fuse/relay box. The Integrated Control Units are also different between 94 and 96 4 cylinders.

Looks like I am stuck with 1 intermittent setting then.

Thanks for the info!

Default 96-97 intermittent wiper switch

I just picked one up at a scrapyard, and I'm wondering what is necessary to make it work in a 94 LX? It has an extra two-pin plug on it, everything else is identical.

probably should have searched first oops, just posted about this. If I have an ICU lying around from a 97, will it plug into the harness from a 94?

I merged your other thread. I'll check the circuit diagrams.

Thanks! I'm guessing the ICU has a timer circuit that doesn't have a selectable duration on the 94?

The 97 combination wiper switch adds the delay for the variable intermittent wiper. Looks like you can probably use the 97 combo wiper switch on the 94; but, you won't get variable intermittent wiper, unless you also use the ICU from a 96-97 and have the wiring and connector plug. But, then you'll probably lose the the 94 side marker flasher functionality, see next.

Looks like it may plug in; but, the 94 ICU has the side marker flasher relay built into it. The 97 ICU does not have the side marker flasher relay inside. So, you'll lose functionality even if it plugs in.

so if the side marker flasher relay is separate on a 97, can i splice it into my existing harness

I don't see a side marker flasher relay as part for the 97 circuit diagram. In addition, the side markers on a 97 doesn't appear to be controlled by the turn signal/hazard relay either. It is possible the side markers do not flash on a 97.
