Default Wipers, Headlights, Turn Signal problems on 96 Accord

Recently my Accord has been acting up. For the past week, every time I turn on the left turn signal, my wipers would start going. In the past few days, the the windshield cleaning fluid would start going off as well. Sometimes both would start going off on their own. The same happens ever once in a while when I turn on the headlights. The left turn signal also has a tendency of staying on and flickering from time to time when I turn the headlights on.

I removed the fuse for wipers to stop them from going off, but that's a stopgap until I figure out what's wrong. I've tried looking up the problem on this forum, but I can't seem to find any guide that would help.

I've never done work on cars other than basic maintenance such as oil changes, so I'm hoping I could get some help in a way I can understand.

Thanks!

Since the combination wiper switch and the combination light switch are separate components, it may be an intermittent short at the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) or some wiring or connection leading to the ICU.

The integrated control unit is located at the under-dash fuse/relay box. The combined wiper/washer circuit (intermittent wiper On input and washer ON input) runs through the ICU. In addition, the side marker flasher relay circuit runs through the ICU.

I would clean up the grounds for the headlight wires, etc, and then disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the ECU for starters.

What does resetting the ECU have to do with the OP's problem?

we replaced the headlight assembly and we right away noticed that the windshield wipers would come on with cooling fan and drivers side headlight would only working the brights. Now it seems like the wipers come on with headlights brake lights and turn signals
