What crazy person came up with the idea of putting the wiper relay UNDER the fusebox?

i went to 2 auto stores and they all made faces at me like, i was crazy when i suggested there was an intermittent relay for the wipers, they suggested it was probably the swich hand that attached to the steering wheel that needed to be replaced...
i am also not finding any relays under the relay box...so i am at a loss....does anyone have apicture of what im looking for? and its exact location?

again im looking for the int wiper relay...

Thanks

I too would like to find this relay. I was in a junk yard pulling parts that I need and figured that I might as well grab this wiper relay. I pulled the fusebox and didn't see any relays under it.

If the weather holds, I'll pull mine tomorrow and see what I can see.

I've never had a 4th gen so I can't be sure. I would think that it is not "really under" the fuse panel but more "below" the panel...like lower on the strut tower...if that makes sense...g22-any advice?
Until the relay is found, there is the switch test?

i have to believe my switch is good because the other 2 speeds work, windshield spray works as well..its just the int speed that doesnt work..im i right to assume this? otherwise what's the test?

And someone out there, please where is this damn int relay? Noah's ark would be easier to find.

From the pic, the relay looks like it is connected to the driver's side edge of the fuse box. I never owned a 4th gen either, so I can't give you a better idea of the location.

Ok, i just fixed the problem, the relay is indeed located UNDER the fuse/relay box passenger side engine compartment, you will have to move the fuse box to the side by removing 3 10mm bolts (no need to unplug anything) and you will see the relay right under it with nothing else around it. (what a horrible location for a relay) I went to my local junker and removed the relay from an accord and when i plugged it into mine the wipers came to life at intermittent speed. I'm so happy it wan't the switch because replacing that was looking sort of problematic.

Thanks for the help I got!!

ok, just how sensitive are relays? i changed the position by bolting the relay to the firewall and it stopped working and now ill have to go back to the junker to get another one. Also I noticed the connector that goes into the relay had all this creamy yellow-brick color sort of cream all over it, what was that? some sort of lubricant to help the connection? I cleaned it up and added some WD40 to see if i could bring it back to life but it just didnt work, my Intermittent speed doesn't work again.
so my questions are? what is that creamy stuff? and how sensitive are relays? I was basically trying to set the relay in the position it originally should have been and that killed it...
