Default wiring question, please help..

Hello all, New to the forum, have a question that has stumped me..i have looked all over the web and in my chiltons manual and have had no luck.
I have a 96 accord lx, f22b2 5 speed, can provide more info if needed

i have a question about 3 wires that go into a connector in the front of the fusebox. I have attached a photo of the wires in the fusebox..as you can see, the reason i want to find out what they are for is because they seem to have burned and melted the connector...

my car does not run any differently and from what I can tell, everything works..Thinking that I could figure out what it was, I unplugged the connector and drove the car testing everything...everything i can think of works, lights, guages, windows, locks, heat, a/c, and interior lights...a little stumped. thanks for any replywiring question, please help..-accord-pic.jpg

that goes to your ELD
If it wasn't working right it would throw a check engine light.
Does your check engine light come on when you start the car for 2-3 seconds?
If so does it stay on while you are driving?

check engine light comes on during the first 2-3 seconds, evertime i turn the key to on, then goes off and stays off. i was just worried about the melted connector and the burning smell..not sure how long it has been like that, i actually only noticed it because i was adding a "add a fuse", tapping into the fuse box and seen it.

thanks for the reply!

here is a picture of my ELD connection.
Your picture is too small for me to see clearly.
Ignore the text on the picture that was from someone else's problem.
The ELD is the sensor that controls your alternator to turn it on and off depending on usage. I have mine bypassed (due to my stereo system) so it is not something you really need. If you check engine light ever stays on and gives you the code for ELD post back and I will show you how to bypass it.
Here is how the wires look on mine

Also I blew you image up some and it looks like mine does.
I think you are seeing the dielectric grease just getting old - that is unless I cannot see your picture correctly.
Does yours look like mine?
