Personally I don't have experience with them. From what I've read and seen from others is that they are pretty reliable. The thing that isn't is the TCU, they do have issues.
As far as preference-Yes I have auto's and stick's----I prefer a stick

I'm with ya...I have to commute 160 miles a day... but on the highway doing 80 or more mph, it burns gas and is screaming at 4000rpm... need a 5 speed for that 5th gear... lower the rpm on highway, and save more gas...but the auto trains is great except that the tcu will burn the resistors eventually... I got a 93 tcu and have had no issues since.

What is your car doing, trans issues etc...?

Nothing real noticeable, except when on highway, I feel this slight shift at higher speeds...Its not like its shifting gears but slides at high speeds ??? but it duznt seem to be a real problem, just have never felt that on any Automatic trans cars before...

Gears are spaced farther apart on a 4-speed auto, so that 5th gear isn't as tall as you might think. Gears 1 thru 4 of a 5-spd manual don't match the 1 - 4 gears of an auto.

Dunnskii,
Almost sounds like you're describing the torque-converter locking up. It's like another automatic shift, only a lot more subtle.

i mean for 21 years old, and with over 200k... when im rollin at 75mph, and i stomp that suckah, she jumps and goes... 75 to 105 is a jiff... 3k rpm, to 4k rpm no problems... i just think the rpm's are higher than average, but this is my first 4banger.

im not gonna take it higher than 4k rpm's untill i do a valve job, but these 90-93 accords are sooo much fun... I cant wait to get my second accord.. 5speed, and see what she's got
