Wont crank- Immobilizer or ???
Im working on a 2005 4 door EX Accord 136K miles- for a friend of mine. She was having intermediate starting issues so had me replace the ignition swith. That didnt seem to fix the problem. It has started several times after that was changed but now It will not turn over or do anything at all. Battery voltage is 12.84- lights never dim so thats not an issue with it. * When key is in Ignition and turned to Crank car- makes no click or noises at all. Green Immobilizer light does NOT flash when doing this*. As soon as the key is removed from switch the Green Key Immobilizer light flashes numerous times. What I cant seem to find out for sure is if there is a problem with the Immobilizer will it: A- Let engine turn over but not start. B- Crank and die seconds later. C- Not turn over at all? Trying to get a better idea where to start with this car since not very old and does not seem to be a common problem for an 2005?? I would normally think starter issue first but Flashing Green Key in gauge cluster has me thinking otherwise. If Immoblizer should do A or B above then I know to start with relay- starter problems. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,DJ

You need a Honda Shop Manual. There is a lot of info on immobilizer.
Following may help:
1) Proper Key Inserted and keyswitch to On- Indicator light should come on for 2 secs and then go off. When keyswitch is turned to Off, the indicator light should flash 1/sec for 5 secs.
2) Wrong Key Inserted and keyswitch turned to On- Indicator light comes on for 2 secs, followed immediately by 1/sec flashes until keyswitch is turned to OFF.
There's about 4 pages of other diagnostics, but this should at least tell you if you have a recognized or unrecognized key.
good luck
