Question won't run.

my 1984 honda accord has a continual problem of starting and dying, or just not starting at all. it has died doing 5 mph up to 70 mph. it has also died at an idle. when it happens, i get no signal to my fuel pump and no fire from the coil. i have replaced the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and ignition coil. have a new distributor, ignition control module, and coil and rotor coming friday, but im afraid it may not be the issue. if u could help with any information i would be much obliged. please note this is a carbureted motor, so the wiring harness is obviously simpler than with fuel injection, but the vacuum system is very elaborate. note also the last time it died and ran again was when i put on the new coil.

sounds like a bad ignition switch.

take a look at your ignition switch. when you start your car, wiggle your key while its on, if your car dies, then replpace the switch. check the grounds going to it as well

good luck
