Below is my rant about a car I love with a feature I hate. Please tell me if the source of my problems is because I'm doing something wrong.

I bought a new 2013 Accord EX-L V6 with Navigation in November of 2012 so I've had my car for a little over a year. I absolutely love the car but I've given up on the Navigation System. It is the worst!

The problem is telling it where you want to go. If the car is moving, your only option is voice commands. However, unless you are using one of the 'canned' statements, it will not recognize you.

Example: I want to go to "El Pollo Loco." I have my options set to search nearby. I pull over (because voice commands are worthless) and try to type it in. When I get to "EL POLLO LO" then system takes over and tries to take me to "EL POLLO LOCHON" which is 1100 miles away in Fort Worth, TX.

Can any of you get this thing to work?

 

I think that's how they all are now. The cars can't be moving while you change the navigation now. I test drove a new Jeep Grand Cherokee today and while the touch screen worked well, the audio control tried to send me to texas ( I live in California).
