06 2 door v6 exhaust systems?
hey wass uP, i had my greddy evo2 cat backs, for about 3-4 years now,, and when i first got it i noticed a little power increase,, all the hype about 10- 15 HP is BS!!!! at the most you get 5 hp,, but when i first wanted to get a exhaust system i wanted something loud,, and i was think these greddy would be loud, but they are not, very quiet, low tone, im glad this is how it turned out or i would have had 50+ tickets.. I still have the cat on thats one of the reasons why its not that loud,, but overall i love my greddys i paid about $900 for them installed (this was 3-4 years ) and there still going strong. Up next is the OBX stainless steal headers
Hey I have an 04 Accord V6 Coupe and i was looking for an exhaust and finally went with the Greddy Evo2 dual catback. It really has a nice sound and makes the accord sound pretty mean i think in addition to my AEM true cold air intake which it really compliments. Not a real cheap exhaust but again you get what you pay for.
You will get 5hp is you are lucky at the crank on a NA car. The exhaust that is on the car from factory is the exact size the pipe should be with the size and hp output of your engine. a 2.25 inch exhaust or 2.5 would be the biggest you should go at all unless you have headwork or rotating assembly changed. I say that because, your head can only allow so much air out in the duration the exhaust valve/s are open. Also the more air let in the more air has to be let out. So if you do nothing to the intake side of it you could loose power.
P.S. too big of an exhaust and you will loose power. If you are going to do an exhaust go from the head back meaning headers, high flow cat, no resonator, and a high flow muffler ( or for my car i love my glass pack). I hope this helped you out a little
