Can't say that I've done this or have any further info......however, my guess is that the "drone" at steady speed would not be worth it. Just me.

Difference between a muffler & a resonator is really just semantics any more. They're both mufflers. So which one (front or rear) are you talking about removing?

If you remove the resonator you will have drone. If you want more sound, replace the stock resonator with a Dynomax or Magnaflow resonator. Won't be a huge change but should make it a bit louder.

The resonator I'm talking about removing is behind the catalytic converter and before the stock muffler. I believe I'm just going to put a new muffler just seems to be more of an easier way to get what I'm looking for.

Well after considering some options went today and got a wicked flow muffler because the cost of a magnaflow I wanted was more than I wanted to spend. Very happy with the overall result sounds like a 350z/g35 it's awesome going to try and get a video soon. No drone in cab with windows up, widows down you hear a nice tone.
